If you cannot tell by the name of this blog I am a WIFE! I met my husband at the gym, but don’t let that fool you—I was all about the ‘stranger danger’ vibes at first! I was hesitant, but eventually I listened to my heart and wouldn’t you know it? I ended up falling in love! We got married in a super intimate, coastal wedding—just us, the waves, and parents. Honestly, I’m loving this whole ‘wife’ life already!” I am in love and I want to tell the world.
We’re proud parents to a lively little flock of chickens and one very spoiled dog. It’s a full house of feathers and fur around here. I’ve got motherhood on the brain and can’t help but dream about the day it’s my turn. Fingers crossed it’s sooner rather than later!
I have a full-time job in the field of education, and let’s be real—it’s stressful. Between all the hats that I wear, I needed a way to stay sane. So, I did what any overwhelmed person would do: I created this blog. Think of it as my little corner of the internet where I can share my recipes. Are you wondering what kind of recipes I share?
I’m Mexican-American, and I’m all about the delicious flavors from both sides of my heritage! Most of my recipes will be a tasty mash-up of the best Mexican and American eats—because why settle for one when you can have both?
Not only do I love to cook, but I’m also ridiculously intentional about the ingredients that go into my food. I’m that person who reads ingredient labels like it’s my full-time job and hunts down low-tox cookware like a treasure hunter. Yes, that’s what I do for fun.
So how did this all start for me? A few years ago, I was feeling sick and run down, and I knew I needed to make a change. I decided to join a gym, get more active, and overhaul my eating habits. Slowly but surely, things started to turn around—I felt stronger, healthier, and more energized. Now, I’m passionate about nutrition.
